Our Christian faith shapes our identity, our mission, our values, and the manner in which we serve children, families, communities, partners, staff, and volunteers.
We seek to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through compassionate service, educational opportunity, responsible stewardship, integrity, and respect for every person.
We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God and is trustworthy and authoritative for Christian faith, character, and conduct.
We seek to ensure that our organizational values, leadership practices, programs, relationships, and decisions are consistent with biblical principles.

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God is holy, loving, just, merciful, compassionate, and sovereign over all creation.
We believe all people are created by God and that every child possesses inherent worth that must never be determined by ethnicity, nationality, gender, disability, social status, family background, economic condition, or religious affiliation.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully human.
We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, teachings, miracles, sacrificial death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension, and promised return.
Through His life and ministry, Jesus demonstrated particular compassion toward children, the vulnerable, the poor, the marginalized, and those suffering injustice.
His example forms the foundation of MCEF’s commitment to compassionate service.

We believe that humanity is separated from God by sin and that salvation is a gift of God’s grace received through faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe that reconciliation with God is made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and cannot be earned through human achievement.
MCEF seeks to reflect and communicate the hope of the Gospel through both word and compassionate action.
Our assistance is never conditioned upon a person becoming a Christian, participating in Christian activities, or changing his or her religious beliefs.
We believe Christian witness should be expressed with humility, respect, compassion, and integrity and should never involve coercion, manipulation, exploitation, or abuse of vulnerability.

We believe in the presence and work of the Holy Spirit, who brings people to faith in Christ, transforms believers, gives spiritual gifts, produces godly character, and empowers Christians to live faithfully and serve others.

We believe the Church is the worldwide body of all who belong to Jesus Christ.
The Church is called to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, pursue justice, demonstrate compassion, care for those in need, and serve as an expression of Christ’s love in the world.
MCEF seeks to work constructively with churches, Christian organizations, communities, schools, families, government institutions, and responsible partners where such partnerships advance the welfare and protection of children.
We believe every human life has God-given value.
Therefore, MCEF is committed to treating every person with dignity, fairness, compassion, and respect.
We reject discrimination, exploitation, abuse, trafficking, harassment, neglect, violence, and all practices that diminish the dignity of human beings.

The best interests of the child will be a primary consideration in decisions affecting children within our programs.
We are committed to strong safeguarding practices, appropriate background screening where required, responsible supervision, confidential reporting procedures, and prompt responses to safeguarding concerns.

We believe Scripture repeatedly calls God’s people to care for those experiencing poverty, displacement, oppression, suffering, conflict, persecution, widowhood, orphanhood, and other forms of vulnerability.
MCEF therefore seeks to respond practically to human need through education, family strengthening, mentorship, healthcare support where appropriate, and other forms of compassionate assistance.
We believe assistance should strengthen dignity and resilience rather than create unnecessary dependency.

Education can help children develop their God-given abilities, expand opportunities, overcome cycles of poverty, contribute to their communities, and build stronger futures.
MCEF therefore views education not simply as access to school but as an investment in human dignity, character, responsibility, opportunity, and hope.
We believe Christian service requires both compassion and justice.
We seek to conduct our work honestly, transparently, responsibly, and fairly.
MCEF rejects corruption, bribery, fraud, financial misconduct, favoritism, exploitation, and abuse of power.
Leaders, employees, volunteers, and representatives of MCEF are expected to demonstrate high standards of ethical conduct.

Donations, grants, property, partnerships, information, and organizational influence must be used carefully and for their intended purposes.

MCEF is unapologetically Christian in identity and mission.
At the same time, we recognize that authentic Christian service respects human dignity and freedom of conscience.
No beneficiary will be required to convert to Christianity, make a profession of faith, attend worship services, or participate in religious instruction as a condition for receiving essential assistance for which they otherwise qualify.
Where Christian teaching, prayer, mentorship, or spiritual activities form part of a specific program, participation expectations should be communicated clearly, appropriately, and respectfully.
MCEF will not use humanitarian vulnerability as a means of religious coercion.
We believe strong families and healthy communities are essential to the well-being of children.
Whenever safe and appropriate, MCEF seeks to strengthen parents, guardians, widows, caregivers, schools, churches, and local communities rather than unnecessarily separating children from their natural support systems.
Decisions affecting children should seek to preserve healthy family relationships and community connections while prioritizing the child’s safety and best interests.
We believe serving others in the name of Christ requires excellence, competence, humility, and continuous learning.
MCEF seeks to apply sound professional practice in program design, child protection, education, financial management, monitoring and evaluation, governance, risk management, and partnership development.
Faithfulness and professionalism are not competing values. We believe both should characterize Christian service.
