Story
A young heart. A simple conviction. A growing mission of hope.
In 2025, while still an eighth-grade student living in Dallas, Georgia, Mandisa Anze began asking a simple but important question:
Why should where a child is born determine whether that child has the opportunity to learn, dream, and build a better future?
Compassion became conviction.
Conviction became a beginning.
As Mandisa learned more about children in Nigeria whose lives had been affected by terrorism, violent conflict, displacement, poverty, and the loss of family support, she began thinking about the opportunities she had been given—the opportunity to attend school, receive care, feel safe, dream about her future, and grow in her faith.
She realized that many children her age were growing up with very different realities.
But Mandisa did not want their circumstances to be the end of their story.
Her Christian faith taught her that every child is created in the image of God, deeply loved, and worthy of dignity, care, education, and hope.
That conviction became the beginning of Mandisa’s Children Education Fund.
A young voice.
A courageous beginning.
I know that I have been blessed with opportunities that many children do not have. I can go to school, learn, dream about my future, and have people who care for me.
When I think about children whose lives have been affected by terrorism, poverty, or the loss of their families, I don’t want them to believe that what has happened to them has decided what their future will be.
I believe every child is created by God, loved by God, and has value and purpose. They deserve the opportunity to learn, to be cared for, to dream, and to know that they have not been forgotten.
I started MCEF because I may not be able to help every child by myself, but I believe I can start somewhere. And if other people join us, together we can help more children have the opportunity to build a different future.
My prayer is that every child we serve will know that God sees them, their life matters, and their present circumstances do not have to determine their future.”

Can Reach Another
MCEF began with a young girl choosing not to look away.
What started as Mandisa’s desire to help children access education is growing into a Christian mission committed to helping vulnerable children and families experience education, care, dignity, opportunity, and the hope of Christ.
Mandisa’s story reminds us that changing the world does not always begin with having everything figured out.
Sometimes it begins with seeing a need, believing something should be different, and having the courage to start.
